- "The press are accusing you  of ducking accountability on the issue, Prime Minister."
- "Well, yes - that's rather the point."

Because when public spaces are closed, we find new ways to make site-specific theatre...

Cabinets of Curiosity presents 'Deepfakes', a political satire written specifically to be performed and watched online.

The UK is in the grip of a pandemic - and the decisions of the Prime Minister's have led to a  new, vaccine-resistant variant that has placed the country in its hardest lockdown ever. Like everyone else, the PM is staying at home... but will that stop him and his advisors from turning a National Emergency into an opportunity?

WATCH  THE TRAILER!

Conceived and written during the Covid-19 lockdown - and rehearsed and recorded entirely on Zoom - Deepfakes is a satire on contemporary British politics that plays out over a series of video conference calls between an imaginary UK Prime Minister* and his aides, ministers and family - and explores what could happen when ambition, technology and democracy collide.

*Deepfakes is a work of fiction. Any similarities to actual persons living or dead is (of course) entirely coincidental.
